Down through history, certain guitars and equipment have become as iconic as the musicians who play them.
Vintage Instruments
Gibson, Fender, Marshall, Vox, these are all companies that any musician or music enthusiast will know and love. On display in the museum, there are plenty of vintage guitars and equipment from these companies, each iconic in their own rights.
Guitars
At The Irish Rock n Roll Museum, you can admire an extraordinary collection of Gibson, Fender, Gretsch, and Ibanez guitars that once belonged to the iconic Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy. This exhibit, located in the renowned Apollo Studios, offers a unique glimpse into the instruments that shaped Lynott’s distinctive sound and the music of Thin Lizzy. Each guitar tells a story of rock history, capturing the essence of the band’s electrifying performances and timeless hits.
Vintage Equipment
Obviously, there’s much more to a band than just guitars (unless you ask the guitarist that is). There’s plenty of other vintage instruments and equipment to be seen at the museum too. The Irish Rock n Roll Museum holds homage to one of four Neve recording desks! This desk was designed in the 70s with 72 channels!
