Rory Gallagher Festival – June 2nd to June 5th

Ballyshannon in Donegal is a small town that in 1948, gave birth to one of the greatest guitarists of all time, Rory Gallagher. The festival has now been running since 2002 and is a haven for fans who come from all over the world for this wonderful celebration of all things Rory.

Rory is obviously a major part of Irish Rock N’ Roll history, being one of the best-known and beloved guitarists in Ireland and around the world of all-time. As such he rightfully has a place in our museum, with candid photos and memorabilia of Rory along with all the greats of Irish Rock N’ Roll throughout our museum.

Obviously the big Rory Gallagher celebrations take place in Ballyshannon this week, but we couldn’t help feeling we should get in on the action! So for any Rory Gallagher fans visiting or living in Dublin this week, just mention Rory’s name when booking your ticket and you’ll receive a 20% discount off your entry!

With memorabilia and stories from the likes of Rory, Thin Lizzy, U2, Nirvana and many more, a visit to the Irish Rock N’ Roll Museum Experience is a must for any Rock ’N’ Roll fan.

So if you’re in Dublin, looking for something to do before you head down to Ballyshannon, or simply in Dublin at all, come visit the museum and marvel at the history of Irish Rock N’ Roll.
