The roots of the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy go back all the way to the Dublin of the ‘60s. In 1969, drummer Brian Downey and bass guitarist Phil Lynott founded the band while still in secondary school. It didn’t take long for the band to conquer international charts with their singles The Boys Are Back in Town, Jailbreak and Whiskey in the Jar.  The band has temporarily split up several times, and after Lynott’s death in 1986, Scott Gorham and John Sykes took the lead. Although Skyes no longer performs with the band, Thin Lizzy continues to rock Irish fans with its hard rock tunes.
