Your Visit

No matter how much time you have in Dublin, adding a visit to the Irish Rock n roll museum to your itinerary will enhance your experience and leave you with lasting memories of this vibrant city. We are open 7 days/week! Our first tour starts at 10:30 am, the last tour is at 5pm. Each tour lasts 60-75 minutes.

Please note our Museum is by guided tour only. Please remember that our Museum is not wheelchair accessible! Walk-ins are welcome but booking in advance is advised due to demand.

Travelling from Dame Street to Temple Lane will lead you into the historical Temple Bar district. Traveling down Dame Street (from the Christ Church Cathedral direction), be sure to take a left on to Temple Lane and then the next left will bring you on to Curved Street, a small pedestrian walkway. The reception area of the tour will be on your right, at the entrance to the Button Factory.

Be sure to get off at Tara Street Dart Station and make your way up the Quays (the River Liffey). Once you reach the Ha’penny Bridge (white), be sure to follow the steps up to ‘Merchants Arch’ and enter Temple Bar Square. Once in Temple Bar Square, walk straight past Mc Donalds until you see ‘The Temple Bar Pub’, taking a left at the pub and following the road straight up to the ‘Wall of Fame’ is were you will find the entrance to the museum.

Can you visit the museum without going on a guided tour?

All visits to the museum are by guided tour only. The Irish Rock n Roll Museum Experience is located in a working music complex and visitors can not freely roam the building. The stories told by our passionate tour guides really bring the experience to life, our museum would not be as memorable if it was a self guided tour.

Is the museum wheelchair accessible?

The Irish Rock n Roll Museum is not wheelchair accessible. As the museum is located in an old historic building, we do not have the facilities to cater to wheelchairs. Please contact us to discuss accessibility needs before booking.

Is the museum suitable for children?

The Irish Rock n Roll Museum is not suitable for children under the age of 5. Recommended visitor age for children is 7 years old and over.

How many people will there be on the tour per group?

Each group has up to 12 people per tour, with 15 being max capacity.
